About Who we are Writtle Scouts aim to prepare young people with skills for life and encourage young people to do more, learn more and be more. Every week nationally Scouting gives almost half a million 6 to 25-year-olds the skills they need for school, college, university, job interviews, the important speech, the tricky challenge and the big dreams – the skills they need for life. It’s about teamwork, leadership and resilience – skills that have helped Scouts become everything from teachers and social workers to astronauts and Olympians. Scouting brings people together. We celebrate diversity and stand against intolerance, always. We’re a worldwide movement, creating stronger communities and inspiring positive futures. Want to know more? Contact us here. Charity information The Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together to make sure Scouts is run safely and legally. Together, Trustees make sure the charity is well managed, risks are assessed and mitigated, buildings and equipment are in good working order, and everyone follows legal requirements and Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR). The Group Leadership Team helps all volunteers (including young leaders) within the group to work together to plan and deliver high-quality programmes.
